In the 70′s, instead of “Live long and prosper,” the most common greeting and sign-off between Trekkers was “May the Great Bird of the Galaxy bless your planet.” The Great Bird being Gene Roddenberry, of course.
I still sign my emails that way to my fan friends from that era.
