some thoughts about attribution & ownership of “ideas” in fic.
I wanted to write a proper post about this and still might: but fandom (or generally gift economy style spaces) has changed due to a lot of the younger members being brought up on architectures like tumblr. Until people (re)learn etiquette like crediting, attribution & understand this is CORE to encouraging new content creation - a lot of artists and writers are gonna be always doubtful.
