Star Trek cosplay, 1979?: me as Scotty and Mom as Spock
Bridge “viewscreen” was a star chart, with Enterprise console assembled from my cassette recorder, Merlin game (first portable!), football handheld game, space invaders game as a tricorder, Mom’s fancy flat calculator with flip cover for a communicator, and coke bottle stopper for Uhura’s earpiece which Spock sometimes wore.
