Saint Cinnamon Roll the Unwritten
One of the images above is a set of tags on a reblog of my post about AO3 being for all kinds of fic. The other are two anon asks I got recently. I usually respond to that type of ask privately when I can or don’t answer, first, because I would rather have a pleasant conversation instead of exposing the person to a deluge of “You’re still racist because you don’t ship my OTP!” and, second, because most anon asks look like the person sent them to themselves to score points. However, the timing of these two is too much to resist.
The first one is about policing of how “good” characters are written chasing writers away from those characters and towards villains. The second is someone reflecting that they usually like white m/m because of the kink dynamics they prefer, and when offered a non-white option with the same kink dynamics, they like that just as much.
