I tried the same analysis on AO3’s TV fic that I did on FFN’s. The first things I noticed were that AO3 has many more fandoms despite being a younger archive but that these fandoms are a reflection of AO3’s different tagging style: a much larger proportion of them are tiny fandoms with less than ten fics, and many of the large fandoms in the TV category are metatags of other large fandoms or should not be listed under television at all.
