ah, this reminds me of the good old post-rots days when if you shipped anakin/obi-wan you were a misogynist for ignoring padme, and if you shipped anakin/padme or obi-wan/padme you were homophobic for ignoring the anakin/obi-wan subtext (listen, i’m not saying i fought in the old ship wars, but i might have been involved in, er, some boating skirmishes once or twice >.>)
in short: new star wars fandom is as awful as old star wars fandom, proceed with shipping as you please, because no matter who you ship, you’re a terrible person, so just enjoy your voyage into fandom hell
