why do ppl put exclamation points after stuff like fem!phil or fetus!dan why the exclamation point?
It’s a leftover of a bit of old timey fandom culture. Back in the 90s/early 2000s it was fairly common to denote a trait by writing trait!character. Fanlore has an interesting article about it with a possible explanation for it, I recommend it.
