I mean astolat, who is the creator of both yuletide and essentially ao3 too and like is arguably one of THE MOST important people in all of fandom ever writes explicit wincest. One of the very ships that’s going to cause the apocalypse. Do the children even know where we would be without her?
Like honestly, they all need to spend a decent couple of hours on Fanlore. Go read about strikethrough and boldthrough, go read An Archive of One’s Own, go learn your fannish history and stop acting like the pillars of our society are crumbling around us as we speak.
I don’t know what the “antis” and “callouts” movements are (besides their general usage), but rootingformephistopheles is correct: AO3 was created, in part, for fans to be able to post fiction that might run afoul of (1) copyright over-reach as well as fiction that is (2) not welcomed elsewhere (RPS, chan, rape/noncon, what we now call Omega-verse).
I did some googling and found this 2014 petition demanding that A03 purge all underage and noncon fic. It gathered 5 supporters.
