In my head I’ve been dividing X-Files fandom into roughly 3 periods:

Wave 1: First-Run Episodes, Usenet Newsgroups, and Gossamer Era
1993-2003 

Wave 2: IWTB Revival and Livejournal Era
2008-2011

Wave 3: Series Revival and Tumblr Era
2015-

My reckoning of eras doesn’t mean that nothing happened between 2003 and 2008 and 2011 and 2015, but, in my opinion, the fandom considerably slowed during those years.

What do you think? Am I off in my dates?
