Fan run media conventions are a great way for fans to connect, squee, and support one another. However, many of us cannot afford to attend conventions - or even if we can, they are often too far away for us to reach.
But you can still participate! Many conventions offer supporting memberships which is usually accompanied by a small gift (the convention vid show DVD for example).
