That “Star Trek Lives” fan diary you posted gave me an attack of nostalgia, so I rummaged around to find a few of my Trekkie things from the 70s.

Most of these items were my souvenirs from a small 1982 con with Nichelle Nichols as the sole guest, somewhere in southeastern Pennsylvania (?). I wonder if anyone remembers it? It was my first con, and I was too young to drive, so I can’t remember exactly where it was.

All I remember is that the grups were asking Nichelle all these technical questions that they could answer for themselves by watching the episodes carefully or reading trivia books. So instead I stood on a chair and asked if she would sing something for us.

And she did. :)
